About Moët & Chandon
Since 1743, Moët & Chandon has been faithful to the vision of Jean-Remy Moët, producing the world’s most loved champagnes, that continually seduce and delight. A true pioneer, Jean-Rémy Moët introduced champagne to the world and transformed a regional wine trade into the world’s first international luxury brand. Today, Moët & Chandon remains the symbol of pleasure, splendour and spectacular fêtes.

Champagne Tips
Tip: Treat Moët & Chandon as you would a fine wine; after all, champagne is simply wine with bubbles.
Tip: One of the biggest myths is that chocolate pairs well with champagne. Chocolate is far too sweet for most Brut champagne. Instead, think more creatively. Champagne is the most food-friendly of all wines and is terrific with all things from sushi to duck confit - it is also fantastic with fried foods!
Service Tip: Champagne Bath to Chill
If you remember to do everything but chill the bubbly before guests arrive, use this quick trip for fast chilling: place the bottle of champagne in a bath of half water and half ice for approximately 25 minutes and it will be ready to open!
Service Tip: How to Pour a Bottle of Champagne
Always serve champagne by holding the base of the bottle, never by choking the neck which will warm the champagne. If you can hold the bottle comfortably and securely with your thumb in the indentation, that is wonderful! For a more secure grasp, create a “claw” with your hand.
Service Tip: Never Fill your Champagne Flute to the Rim
Leaving a space allows air to circulate which will open up the flavor and aromas of the wine, allowing you to swirl and smell the wine before tasting.
Champagne Fun Facts
A champagne bottle is under 90 pounds of pressure per square inch - equal to the tire pressure of a double-decker bus!
Contrary to popular belief, it is actually an insult to allow a champagne cork to make a popping noise when the bottle is being opened
There are an estimated 250 million bubbles in each bottle of champagne
The world record for a champagne cork launched from a bottle is a 177’9” distance
The smell of champagne is proven to arouse the olfactory cells connected to memory and emotion
Toasts to Celebrate Life’s Moments
Need a last minute TOAST for a special occasion? A TOAST for around the table with friends? Or even a TOAST to kick off that New Year’s diet? There is a TOAST for everyone and every occasion! The below are taken from Toasts for Every Occasion by Jennifer Rahel Conover.
Romantic TOASTs:
May our love be as strong as the willow,
and as willing to bend.
To our life together.
As we walk to path of life,
always know my hand is within reach.
TOASTS for Popping the Big Question:
My Grandmother always said that “every pot
has its cover,” but I didn’t believe her. Now
I know that it is possible to find a perfect fit.
You are my soulmate…(show her the ring)
Will you marry me?
Grow old with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life
For which the first was made.
TOASTs for Friends:
Friends we are today,
And friends we’ll always be,
For I am wise to you,
And you can see through me.
To our best friends,
Who know the worst about us,
But refuse to believe it.
Old friends are scarce,
New friends are few,
Here’s hoping I find,
One of each in you.
Wedding TOASTs:
Here’s to the bride and groom,
A case of love pure and simple:
(Bride) is pure and (Groom) is simple.
To your wedding: May your love for each other grow as surely as your waistlines will.
As you build your home together may you use the best of what each of you bring to your union and may you accept everything that is left.
Love is like a garden. It will continue to grow wild but flourishes best with attention. May your garden always remain in bloom.
I would wish you good luck, but I never wish luck on a sure thing.
Anniversary TOASTs:
Here’s to you both,
A beautiful pair,
On the birthday of
Your love affair.
To our parents: You probably never thought you’d survive the noise, the tussles and the extra stuff in your house. On your anniversary we want you to know that we are all planning to move back in.
To the wonderful couple who shows the rest of us what love is all about.
TOASTs for All Occasions:
It’s not as bad a world,
As some would make it,
But whether it’s good or bad,
Depends on how you take it.
Bite off more than you can chew,
Then chew it.
Plan more than you can do,
Then do it.
Point your arrow at a star,
Take your aim and there you are.
Arrange more time than you can spare,
Then spare it.
Take on more than you can bear,
Then bear it.
Plan your castle in the air,
Then build a ship to take you there.
Some take their gold in minted mold,
And some in harps hereafter,
But give me mine in bubbles fine,
And keep the change in laughter.
Eat, drink and be merry
For tomorrow you diet.
